Error 1904 - CDINTF.DLL Failed to Register
Applicable to Opera II Versions: Server or workstation is Windows 2000
An error has been reported in the Opera II client install on Windows 2000. The error relates to the installation and registration of a file called CDintf.dll, used by the Opera II PDF printer.
When the Opera II client installation fails to register CDintf.dll, the message "Error 1904 Module c:\Program Files\Pegasus\Client VFP\CDintf.dll failed to register" is displayed. The file path is different if the default installation location is not used.
The reason for the error is the installation tries to use a file that does not exist on the computer (gdiplus.dll) to register CDintf.dll.
To resolve the error on the Opera II client computer (or server if 2000):
Download the gdiplus.dll file from:
www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=6a63ab9c-df12-4d41-933c-be590feaa05a&DisplayLang=en
Extract the file to the C:\WINNT folder. Install the Opera II client. The CDintf.dll will then be registered.
